Happy New Year, all you who spent the last couple of months working your fingers to the bone on handmade holiday gifts !! Bet you – like me – were glad to see those hectic days go by. Or maybe – like me – you got snowed in by the biggest storm in Portland in 40 years and got lots of stuff done! Who am I kidding? I caught a cold and spent the week watching movies!
But now’s the time to do something for you. Take a bath, pick up a long-forgotten project (after the bath!), try something new. Have some fun with your craft, what ever it is. Get a fresh taste of creativity.
Hey! Come to a class – yeah that’s it! Hang out with some new friends, learn a new design, share ideas. Give yourself the treat of a night out doing your bliss!
This past year, I was pleased to have the chance to teach at Village Beads on SW Capital Hgwy in Multnomah Village. This is a great shop with an amazing assortment of semi-precious stones, not to mention everything else! And a wonderful roster of classes and teachers to activate your creativity gene. I’ve even taken a couple of Cecelia’s classes myself! If you haven’t found this store yet, now’s your chance! And hey Mikey! They like me! I’m on the Spring schedule with a few new classes, as well as some repeats.
The exact addresses and phone numbers for all locations are on my class schedule page, for your information. You can call them for directions and to register for classes.
And here’s another great idea – a beading party in your own home or club house. (Club house? Geez Fran, what are they – 14 year olds?) Ok – you know what I mean … so just go check out my new website … www.beadingbee.com
Lots of ideas for a new kind of fun-filled gathering with your friends and family.
Be joyful, my friends! Smiling is good for your face … joy is good for your heart … laughter is good for your neighbor.
Spread a Thread of Joy!
Fran
